Marc Olivier

I am a Game Designer and Design Lead, raised on board and card games, now off to make my own waves in the video games sector. I specialize in systems design: everything from the moment to moment game loops to progression, rewards and particularly social mechanics. I’m deeply vested in helping players forge meaningful and lasting bonds through games.

Few things are as exciting as planning and developing the cogs of a game and then setting them into motion. This is reinforced by my passion for UI/UX design and keen ability to visualize and communicate concepts.

 

I’ve had the rare opportunity to work across seven countries, absorbing lessons for over a decade. This journey has allowed me to develop a broad spectrum of knowledge and experience, which I consider a core pillar of a good game designer.

Lately I’ve had the chance to once again lead a design department while acting as a breakthrough-maker and solving design quandries.
